Bajaj Allianz General Insurance on Thursday announced its partnership with deep-tech startup TropoGo for the distribution of a drone Insurance product.

“The drone insurance product will cover damage to the Drone and Payload it carries, Third Party Liability along with additional covers for BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) Endorsement and Night Flying Endorsement,” it said in a statement.

Drone owners and drone manufacturing companies can avail an annual third-party and comprehensive coverage for accidental damage, theft, and disappearance, it said, adding that users can opt for additional endorsements for night flying, BVLOS, payload and data loss liability. Companies can also avail customised insurance coverage for fleet requirements.

India Post Payments Bank, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance tie up for non-life products

India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) on Monday said it has partnered with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance for the distribution of their non-life insurance products across the country.

“As part of the alliance, IPPB will strive to make available affordable insurance products through its robust network of 650 branches and over 1,36,000 banking access points,” it said in a statement.

The scope of products will include healthcare and medical products, personal accident, and motor insurance amongst other innovative tailor-made products, to address the protection needs of Bharat.

Nearly 200,000 postal service providers (Gramin Dak Sevaks and postmen) who are equipped with micro-ATMs and biometric devices will play an important role in the distribution and promotion of these insurance products, focusing especially on unbanked and underserved customers in the last mile.

Bajaj Allianz General Insurance and Bank of India have entered into a corporate agency agreement.

This will enable distribution of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance’s products through the bank’s vast network of 5,084 branches, 80 retail business centres and 60 SME city centres across the country.

“As a part of this agreement, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance will be offering a bouquet of personal lines of products such as motor insurance, health insurance, home insurance, travel insurance along with commercial line of products like engineering insurance, marine insurance to bank’s customers,” the two said in a statement on Wednesday.
